Reliable sources tell Plunderbund Wednesday that Ohio can expect a visit from new Democratic National Committee leader Tom Perez. Arrangements have not been set yet, according to one source, but a visit has been scheduled for Mr. Perez to visit the Buckeye State sometime in May or June.

Perez is the former Secretary of Labor under President Barack Obama who won a close election against Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, who had the backing of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.   Perez appoint Ellison deputy chair of the DNC immediately after winning the vote.

If reputable polling means anything to anyone any more, the findings in a new McClatchy-Marist Poll should signal to the White House and Republican leaders in congress hell bent on scuttling the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act [ACA] that they are now swimming up stream against an increasing tide of Americans who want the law expanded, not contracted or eliminated as the American Health Care Act Republicans tried to pass last week would do.

Time flies when a governor spends enormous amounts of it not governing his own state. Ohio Gov. John Kasich spent almost six months running for president last year, then he went to Europe in February and was in Washington recently to meet with fellow Republicans about the healthcare bill that recently failed to pass.

The term-limited state CEO will return to New Hampshire in late April to promote his latest book.
