As the hysterical cries rise up, like paranoid cry babies whining before they even get their hands on the candy that a phantom of their imagination takes away from them, it reminds me of a story from the 2004 election campaign, which I blogged about in 2008.
This effort collapsed on election day, largely because the GOP had a hard time deploying an organization of people with the onions to stand between a black man and his vote in Democratic precincts. I ran into so few of them on election day in 2004, seeing just one GOP challenger was […]Full Story... →
I want a complete investigation. Can someone get the FBI on the phone? This is serious:
SACRAMENTO — Dozens of newly minted Republican voters say they were duped into joining the party by a GOP contractor with a trail of fraud complaints stretching across the country.
Voters contacted by The Times said they were tricked into switching parties while signing what they believed were petitions for tougher penalties against child molesters. 2. Plumber – Nope. Not licensed in Ohio.

You think they’ll toss out Joe’s registration and not allow him to vote? We wouldn’t want to destroy the electoral foundation upon which […]Full Story... →
Well, had a longer post about this but stupid host errors wiped it out. Best thing I can do now that I wasted time writing that is point you here:
Imagine an election where one of the participants calls foul. Investigations are launched or at least called for. Prosecutors raise the specter of charges, the U.S. attorney and FBI get involved. No voter fraud is ever actually found. But by the time that conclusion is reached, the myth has been solidified both to soothe the loser’s supporters and condemn […]Full Story... →
