I posted earlier about a call from Tom Coburn to pray that someone (Senator Byrd ostensibly) would not be able to make the health care reform vote in order to secure it’s defeat.? C-SPAN catches some hilarity relating to this incident that is sublime.? Most likely a hoax, but a damned good one.? This is what it means to be a modern day Republican. Obfuscate to the point where a late night (early morning) vote is necessary and then pray that those who might vote for health care reform cannot make the vote. They prayed for rain on Obama’s nomination acceptance speech. Now they pray that the ill are either too sick to make it or die before they are able to?
