Tim has the story. The National Enquirer is doing a John Edwards on Sarah Palin. The reaction on the right was absolute glee that they were doing their John Edwards cheated on his wife story. They were jumping up and down and hollering about how bad it was that no other media outlet had the guts to cover the story like the grocery store checkout rag did. Well, the John Edwards chickens are about to come home to roost.
I wonder what their tune will be now? I’m guessing different.
The ENQUIRER has also learned that Palin’s […]Full Story... →
This is classic. Hannity gets his assed handed to him after going apeshit about John Edwards’ affair. The question was always hanging out there like the 500 pound elephant in the room. John Edwards is not the nominee for either party. John McCain is. John McCain cheated on his wife and left her for rich arm candy while she suffered with injuries sustained in a car accident. So what about John McCain’s family values? Hmmm???Full Story... →

Hey PA, you listening? Don’t get duped like Ohio did!
5 strategy meetings for approval
Helped to block labor and environmental opposition
Sure doesn’t sound like opposition “from day one” to me. I wonder if the good union people in her commercials could tell she was lying to their faces:
Remember when John Edwards took exception to her laughing about NAFTA?
Where have you gone John Edwards? You can stop this madness you know. Right ahead of the NC primary even! Stand up and be counted man. While it still matters.Full Story... →
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about this “who will Edwards endorse” question. My original thinking was that John would be an absolute fool and sully his reputation by endorsing Hillary Clinton. Obviously, his campaign message was one of change and he painted Hillary as a very part of what needed to change in Washington. Before seeing Obama as a true threat, he teamed up to hammer home this point with Barack in debates. Going Hillary now would seem like he was turning his back on all of that and make him a big hypocrite. I still feel this would […]Full Story... →
Can I ask WTF he is waiting for? My man is playing it safe and looking to latch on to either camp. I find this weak, uninspiring, and typical. Not something I expected from the fighter from the Carolinas. My original ticket was Edwards/Obama and I think they could have done some great things together. They still can. All John has to do is look destiny in the face and step up to the plate. Stop playing the politically safe move and advocate for real and lasting change.
Come on John. What are you waiting for?
I will loose […]Full Story... →

Yesterday, we pointed out Obama’s – let’s call it unwise – desire to compare himself to Reagan, and explained why it wasn’t such a great idea. John Edwards unloaded with both barrels, underlining what I find attractive about the idea of Edwards as President.
John Edwards ripped Barack Obama for praising the way Ronald Reagan brought about change when he was President of the United States.
?When you think about what Ronald Reagan did to the American people, to the middle class to the working people,? said Edwards.
?He was openly ? openly ? intolerant of unions and […]Full Story... →
This video is a bit long by YouTube standards, but really good. You may recall Brian’s post about “Deer Hunting with Jesus” in which Joe Bageant tries to explain the intricacies of the southern mind from his perspective in rural Western Virginia. I read that book shortly after Brian posted and finished it quicker than any I’ve read in the past year. Reading it reminded me of growing up in a rural community just south of Louisville and how often the south is portrayed as this big homogeneous lot of basackwards redneck hillbillies. To be sure, there are some […]Full Story... →
This is hilarious. I will not make any jokes about the Dem. Party Chair being nicknamed “The Fern”. OK. Yes I will. LOL
The Edwards camp has set up a site – www.plantsforhillary.com – that takes jabs at Hillary’s Bush-like tendency to have softballs tossed her way. You can even submit your own question and get on their email list! Good stuff. 😉
How to Spot a Hillary Plant Fieldguide is included:
1. Questions begin with “what is your superfantastic solution to…”
2. You see folks carrying a small binder of “Safe and Approved Questions for Hillary”
3. […]Full Story... →
No comment needed except… 1) Wow! and 2) It will be interesting to see how this story will play out alongside the presidential primary election cycle. Surely there will be a hailstorm of commentary on that over the next few days.
DES MOINES, Iowa – A Polk County judge on Thursday struck down Iowa’s law banning gay marriage and ordered the county recorder to permit gay and lesbian couples to marry.
Less than two hours after word of the ruling was publicized, two Des Moines men applied at the Polk County recorder’s office for a marriage license, and for the first time the application was accepted. The process of granting a license to marry in Iowa takes three days.Full Story... →
