Here’s the shot of today’s Tea Party protest in SUPPORT of SB 5:

If you look closer, you’ll notice there are more people in line to get vouchers to get admission to the Senate session than actually protesting with the Tea Party.  I think it’s adorable how they decided to spread out to make them look bigger.

Just in case you’re wondering, here’s a similar picture taken of yesterday’s rally:

Just sayin’.

From the Dayton Daily News:

Two young mothers were given ultrasounds in a packed room at the Statehouse as part of a House committee meeting Wednesday. The heartbeat of a fetus at 15 weeks gestation was easily detected. The heartbeat in a fetus of nine weeks gestation was difficult to detect.

Is that like taking the Fifth?  In what was staged as political stagecraft to pander to the Pro-Life crowd, Chairman Lynn Wachtmann unknowingly revealed the other fatal flaw of his “heartbeat” abortion ban besides the fact that even Ohio Right to Life recognizes it as being certainly […]

First, they hijacked SEIU’s telephone system to try to make pro-SB5 calls to State Senators in Ohio, even though they lived out of State.  We’ve seen an influx of out-of-State Tea Party hacks here posing as if they’re Ohioans until we’ve had to call them out on this.

Now, a Tea Party activist/radio host in California sends out a message to the Tea Party to pose as SEIU members and get on television saying things that will hurt the middle class workers’ cause:

Here is what I am doing in Sacramento, where they are holding a 5:30 PM […]

Massive Tea Party FAIL

I had to stay home with a sick kid… that’s why I wasn’t there yesterday.  I wish I could have been.  I’ve always wanted to violate a fire code with firefighters and police officers.  Seriously, the crowd shots for the rally yesterday were INSANE.

The picture is what Dave Harding snapped of the “Tea Party protest.”

Let’s remember what we heard a week ago yesterday.  A week ago, Matt Mayer of the Ohio Buckeye Institute was heralding the Tea Party “movement’s” planned rally today as follows:

So, it […]

[UPDATE]: Attorney Victoria Ullmann testified earlier this week as an opponent to HB 1 (the “RobsOhio” bill).  By all accounts, she is the first person to bring this issue up.  It has caused a scramble in Columbus.  If anyone is responsible for calling attention to it.  It is her.  And she actually first brought this up back in January on her Facebook KasichWatch site.  Nice catch, Victoria!  You definitely were the first to catch this.

Turns out perhaps as many of two members of Kasich’s Cabinet are ineligible to serve under […]

The Associated Press beat us to the punch.

According to the Associated Press, public records shows that it costs the Ohio EPA $4,300 in transportation costs and another $1,150 in venue costs so that Governor Kasich could lecture the employees for talking to the media and revealing that he was engaged in staging false political theater in claiming that his Administration had quickly resolved an air permit that had “languished” for twenty months.

The reality was that the permit had essentially already been cleared to be issued by the Strickland Administration after it was delayed due […]

One of the resumes we were interested in seeing with the Kasich’s Administration would be Third Base Politics’ Jon Keeling—the one-man blogging machine for the Kasich campaign and select Republican candidates.  But first, let’s do a little flashback to remind people just how pathetic Jon Keeling’s willingness to whore out his reputation to help the Ohio Republican Party really is.

Back in July 2009, Eric and the rest of us noticed a new player on the conservative blogsphere calling himself “DJ Tablesauce.”  Eric noticed that the guy seemed to be particularly interested in the potential gubernatorial campaign of John […]

Remember that you read it here first.

This morning, the Columbus Dispatch reported that a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Education has confirmed that Kasich’s plan to scrap Governor Strickland’s evidence-based model of school funding and school reforms very likely will jeopardize the State’s ability to keep the $400 million in federal “Race to the Top” education funding.

Justin Hamilton, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Education, said yesterday that Ohio could lose the money which it won in competition with other states if it fails to follow the proposal it offered.

"States won Race to […]

Boy, the Columbus Dispatch is a fine paper to use… if you own a parakeet.

The Dispatch ruined my image of Kasich sulking on the bus waiting for Rob Portman to stop answering reporters’ questions so they could make their next “gig.”

The navy blue luxury bus holding the rest of the GOP candidates left Everal Barn without the ticket’s driver – Kasich. In an uncommon occurrence, Kasich was asked by his state patrol protection detail to ride separately in the campaign’s SUV, even though there was no specific threat against him, according to patrol spokesman Gary Lewis.

Remember how every time Ted Strickland used footage of the former Dayton factory worker who lost her job to free trade deals Strickland opposed in Congress, but Kasich support, the Carpetblogger (R-VA) got the vapors and suggested she should have a SAG card?

Well, she’s not a professional actor, she’s a real live Ohioans who has been directly and adversely affected by the policies John Kasich supported in Congress.

Now, John Kasich has his own “Johnny Lunchpail” hard hat wearing guy claiming he’s out of work because of Ted Strickland.

Here’s a hint, if a person appears in a political […]

John Kasich is a piece of work.  He signs the Americans for Tax Reforms’ pledge not to “raise any taxes.”  Jon Keeling tries to parce Governor Strickland’s comments to the Columbus Dispatch and says it means that, unlike Kasich, Strickland refuses to take possible tax increases off the table to balance Ohio’s next budget (which ended in the black this year.)

Perhaps Keeling should have read the rest of the article.  Because if he had, he would have seen a statement that shows Kasich has an exception to his “no new taxes” pledge that swallows the […]
