Unless the PD is filled with naive children who have never opened a civics book (possible!), that’s the only explanation for their moronic take on the very first caucus of Democrats elected to county council, which was cancelled last night.

Democrats elected to Cuyahoga County council planned to meet privately today and choose a council president, but scuttled the meeting on concerns about its propriety.

The turnabout happened Friday after some council members objected and The Plain Dealer editorial board raised questions about the party caucus.

Skindell’s departure from the House of Representatives has left a wide open hole which has drawn three entrants to date – Lakewood Councilpeople Nickie Antonio, Tom Bullock, and former State Senator and Cleveland Councilman Dan Brady.

I’ve confirmed from several sources that State Senator Dale Miller will leave his State Senate seat to run for one of the 11 newly created county council seats in Cuyahoga County.

Very interesting on several levels. ?First, this creates a scrum for Dale’s Senate seat, and what a scrum that will be. ?Dale has been in the Ohio Legislature since 1996, and a lot of people have been waiting in line behind him. ?Pols from Parma, Lakewood, city council in 5 Cleveland wards…all will have a look. ?
