OK hoops fans. This is it. The final call for bracket entries. You must have your picks in by 11:55am tomorrow. The pool will be locked in after that time.
Enter a bracket here:
We have 6 players so far. Like to get at least 10 in. I’m tellin’ ya. There will be prizes! Don’t miss out.
I know Joe wanted some tips so here it goes for the non-bracketologists:
Pick all 1 and 2 seeds to advance. Pencil in North Carolina, Memphis, UCLA, Kansas, Tennessee, Texas, Georgetown, and Duke. I’d also probably pick […]Full Story... →
This won’t be the last time I remind peeps that the brackets are available for the first annual PlunderPool. Make sure to get your bracket in. Everyone is welcome and I’ll accept up to two pick sheets from each person who enters (so do up a whacky bracket along with your most serious picks). We are working on some cool prizes…and who wouldn’t want to say they won the inaugural PlunderPool NCAA bracket contest?
So come one. Current players include:

OK, so I’ve already given myself the segue from politics to college basketball. So let’s talk some college hoops for a bit (at least until the first week of April and for sure all this next week!).
I’ve set up a tournament pool online and you are invited to join. All are welcome (yes, even you conservative types and Hillary supporters LOL). You will be asked for a password to keep the random people out. Use “plunderpool”. We’ll have some fun with it and everyone probably agrees we’ll need something to temporarily take some of our focus off […]Full Story... →
It’s not often that two things I’m fairly well addicted to converge, but this might be it. I love politics – can’t stay away from it no matter how hard I try. This should be fairly well known to those who have been reading PB over the course of the last 2 1/2 years. I also love college basketball. Not quite as evident, but I probably hinted at it. If you’ve read the about page here then you know that I was born in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up just south of there. There are 3 things in […]Full Story... →
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Heralded prospect Patrick Patterson made the wait worthwhile by committing to Kentucky on Wednesday, the last day of the monthlong spring signing period. He picked UK over Duke and two-time defending national champion Florida.
Bluegrass hoops is on the way back up:
Patterson and another spring recruit, guard Alex Legion, give UK its customary top-shelf talent, according to Oettinger, who works for the Prep Stars recruiting service.
See ya’ll in mid-November!
