Governor Kasich released his proposed 2018-19 budget on Monday and, as always, it includes his priorities for reforming the educational system. While the specific details won’t be known until the actual language in the budget bill is introduced, the Governor has put out a brief list revealing that his political agenda remains unchanged – testing, privatization, and minimal funding, with some slight evidence that he may not actually know what is already taking place in Ohio.

The resistance to Trump’s Muslim ban has been impressive. But the fight is not yet over. Here is an update and some more ways you can continue to help.

First, Senator Chris Murphy from Connecticut announced yesterday that he will propose legislation defunding efforts to implement the Muslim ban in Trump’s Executive Order.

Elsewhere I have explained that Congressional action may be necessary to defeat the ban despite the high hopes we have for the lawsuits filed by the ACLU and others.
