This is one of the reasons I haven’t subscribed to the Dispatch for years.

A more accurate depiction would be the Koch Brothers controlling the strings of the Reynoldsburg school board and superintendent.

“The union” is a group of teachers that come together to make decisions as a whole. There is no puppet master.

  • Think.

The Dispatch has yet to expose Koch’s American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) as the puppetmaster controlling John Kasich and his well-protected union of ALEC/GOP legislators.

Republicans have always been anti-teacher. Some of this animosity is a deep seated, conservative misogynistic attitude. Kasich and the GOP can’t stand it when the lil’ lady speaks up. Teachers, under GOP rule, are to be unseen and unheard. Just like the way police and fire, mostly male unions, were exempted in Wisconsin from the Republican’s harsh union busting laws aimed squarely at educators. Trying to seperate teachers from their professional organizations is a favorite GOP tactic to ultimately destroy teaching as a profession.

  • Retrofuturistic

The people of this country have no representation. Congress is corrupt, the courts are compromised, and the media is a propaganda organ for the extreme-right-wing. The only entities left, with enough money and support to inhibit the virtually unchecked powers of corporations (in this case, charter schools), banks, and Wall Street, are unions. Hence, the Dispatch and the Kasich administration go after unions. I guess they’re following the Hitler playbook; that was the first thing he did after assuming power.

    Well said.
