Today officially marks 100 days until the election on November 6th. We are in crunch time. The most impact to be made by calling, canvassing, and other volunteer activities is going to happen between now and election day. The Obama campaign is marking this milestone of the campaign with over 4,200 different events this weekend. You can donate to help the campaign and can also see what a “campaign of one” can do (that would be you).
The campaign also put together a nice video that envisions the last 100 days of the campaign through the eyes of a volunteer. Having spent a fair amount of time canvassing, this looks about right:
You know the deal. Ohio will be a critical swing state and will most likely be a factor in deciding the election. If we want to keep moving forward and continue to repair the damage 8 years of GW Bush did to us, we have to work hard together to ensure Barack Obama has the opportunity to continue to lead. It’s pretty clear at this point that Willard Mitt Romney is not only unprepared to take on the position of President, but would also take us backward if given the chance and exacerbate problems that we are just now recovering from.
There are going to be a ton of opportunities to help. Find something that works for you and raise your hand.
100 Days. Let’s Go!
[If you participated in an event this weekend, tell us about it in the comments!]
