I received an email today from the Republican National Committee titled “Obama’s War on Women”.
The email reads: “There is a war on women going on, but it is actually the Obama War on Women.”
Honestly! I’m not kidding here.
The email links to a video which shows clips of CNN and MSNBC personalities talking about Bill Maher giving an Obama-supporting super PAC money. While ominous music plays, they also show clips of the same hosts talking about Bill Maher calling Sarah Palin the C-word during a stand-up routine.

Today is the 9th anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq War. Then President George W. Bush announced the invasion by US ground forces in a nationally televised address. The trumped up charges of weapons of mass destruction and ties to Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda are well documented. We lost over 4,400 troops in that time, more than doubling the lives lost on 9/11. Some estimates of Iraqi civilian deaths number in the 6 figures. The human cost of the conflict was extremely high.

Nineteen states currently allow citizens to recall state officials and if a new group has its way, Ohio may become the 20th.
According to Portia Boulger of “Recall Protects Us All”, volunteers will begin collecting petition signatures for a ballot initiative that would amend the Ohio Constitution to provide citizens the right to a recall referendum of all elected officials other than judges.
The right of recall by citizens is not a new issue. Similar calls for recall power were voiced during the previous Governor’s administration, even prompting a Recall Ted Strickland Facebook group.
