You know I hate to use the “racist” aspect but I always felt that the radical anti-government TEA party types had a racial element to their anti-government worker  rants. I mean government jobs are one of the places where minorities get hired and advance on merit. I have had plenty of minority supervisors at my public job, just like my time in the military. I think it bothers some of them to see minorities in positions of power. I mean if you visited my workplace it looks like a United Nations meeting, people from virtually all over the world are represented…unlike a TEA party meeting !

Several anti-SB5 arguments seem to focus on “lazy” government workers… I always felt like it was a thinly veiled attack on minorities who work in public job posts.

Come on, Joseph.  You are better than this.  This only shows you have far too much time on your hands.

  • eraser1998

Agreed.  It isn’t like this is one of the leaders of the pro-SB5/issue 2 movement.

  • That’s the best idea I can remember you ever posting here, Fred.

Please let me know when you start that blog of yours and I’ll be sure to send my “lame-brained” readers over to check it out.

    Thanks for reading.

You can do better than this — why didnt PB lead with this story:
Union-backed groups spending more than opponents on SB
    5 ads–in Dayton Daily .

I remember you getting in on this one first see below:

Alliance for America’s Future, a GOP-linked group based in Virginia, is
funding a pro-Issue 2 mailing campaign to Ohio voters, according to news
reports. Alliance for America’s Future is run by Barry Bennett, a former top
aide to U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt, R-Loveland. Disclosure of its spending on Issue
2 is not required, Redfern said.!!!!!

I havent seen any of this until now — I believe you guys were the first to break it about Barry Bennett……………..

  • Fred, make sure you click on the sponsors too.

  • Let’s think this through, Unions stand up for the people who work.  SB5 is an assault on workers.  Unions will stand up for the workers.  No news there, just your propaganda.

true but spend some time over at glen becks the blaze site, 20 to 25% of the comments are highly racist and offensive…only occasionally does anybody reprimand them. Sometimes they are so over the top you’d think it was a plant.

  • Adrienne

    Agreed.

  • Adrienne

Thanks,  just reminds me that voting no will make the white supremacists angry.

    Vote no on Issue 2.

Evil in America brought to us by the people who didn’t vote and the bigots who did.

Everyone should read this article posted in Dayton Daily News:

“”Kasich approves more than $240M packages to retain jobs””
State’s recent incentive deals raise questions about effectiveness, transparency, conflicts.

Its 2 pages long — good article  but it was posted late last nite — 10:00 and on a saturday no less. This one should have been posted today for Sunday news — people read more news papers on Sundays.
I can not get over the fact that people want to complain and fuss over wages for cops, firefighters teachers etc and then would condone this crap ! millions of dollars to keep companies here for jobs …, and the state doesnt even require they prove they got offers from someplace else….. pitiful !!
I am a tax payer and I resent this pretense of “creating jobs”.   Wheres the accountability for this administration?  Where are the people that we voted for ( hired )  to keep him in line.  Well next month I plan to hire others… let these people be unemployed.
Attention all representatives and senators — be on notice — its your job to do what we want — you can be replaced–

I actually found Joseph’s post interesting.  I also have been biting my tongue to not respond with some snarky comment about those who will admonish that  “your better than that”, or “[a]ny idiot off the street can have a twitter account”.  I will  say that by tsk-tsk-ing the OP, is to fail to acknowledge that conservatives have had great success by appealing to the baser part of the uninformed, the racists, the homophobes, the “I’ve got mine, the hell with the rest of you”, and the religious “holier than thou-s” to garner support for a cause that may in fact be against their own interest. Not to mention that conservatives believe that lying about facts is justified to get get the results that they want.  In the meantime, the rest of us moral do-gooders sit around spouting the truth and taking to task others that may post the truth, by morally judging an inconvenient fact as “unfair”.  And we will keep speaking the truth, and we will continue to beat up on each other, while the liars and the racists and the mean-spirited part of the conservative party thumps the dogooders time and time again.

  • Lol. Classy.

  • Anonymous

    Typical Tea Party reactionary.

    On to the next thing….

  • Fred

Not approving my comments now?  It’s been 24 hours.  Does your Iagree Army take 24 hours to get approved?

  • We all have families and day jobs, Fred. We’re not all sitting around waiting impatiently for you to post your latest obnoxious rant on liberals so we can approve it.

  • Well, there are at least a few conservative bloggers in Ohio if you’re interested. You’d probably like these guys (note I included more than three):

  • Zing!

  • Fotogirlcb2002

you maybe missed the point —-  the article talks of crap being circulated — these guys  here  plunderbumnd broke the news of the Alliance for Americas Future first — not the newspapers ………….
They researched that it was Barry Bennent first — not the papers
I was merely pointing out that these guys here did a great job reporting this info way before the papers did
AND I belong to a union I know what they stand for — I work hard for my union brothers and sisters !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say VOTE NO… on all 3 issues–

  • Fotogirlcb2002

ooops  plunderbund  … I meant … was aggitated typed to fast

  • Fotogirlcb2002

    i think I was mis-understood —

  • Fotogirlcb2002

A post I did in here it was mis-understood
    I apologize
It was in reference to a article about a group sending out crap–Alliance for America’s Future  was the group headed up by Barry Bennett
These guys blew the whistle a while before the stuff ran in the papers —

Sorry if some thought I was siding with the yes vote—-

I am union — talk sleep walk preach it everyday
