Sometimes you can’t make this up.  We have our first casualty in the fight over SB 5: high dollar political fundraisers.

Senators Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City) and Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) each had separate fundraisers scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Columbus Athletic Club for Wednesday.

They’ve been forced to cancel them.  Either because of the optics of having a fundraiser where the minimum donation was $350 a person looked so bad or the Senate leadership is expecting to be holding votes either in committee or on the floor at that time.  Looks like a pretty big tell either way that as many as four Republican Senators all cancelled scheduled fundraisers at that time.

So, don’t you see how these Republican Senators have been forced to sacrifice, too?  Think of all the quality time with their high-priced lobbyists that these Senators can’t spend because they’re forced to deal with SB 5?

How selfish of you…  Can’t you see how they’re hurting?

    awww poor things
    not to worry
they can borrow money from Kasich
I am sure he wont charge but about 200% interest
or the state workers can give it to them
after we are all rolling in dough
