From the USA Today:
Americans strongly oppose laws taking away the collective bargaining power of public employee unions, according to a new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll. The poll found 61% would oppose a law in their state similar to such a proposal in Wisconsin, compared with 33% who would favor such a law.
Based on the turnout at today’s anti-SB5 rally where we saw exactly ZERO people supporting the bill, I’d say the number might be even higher in Ohio.Full Story... →
Plunderbund was fortunate enough to sit down with Congressman Tim Ryan this afternoon before the big anti-SB5 rally to discuss the real purpose of SB5 ( “ending unions in America” according to Ryan).
We also discussed the lack of DC representation on the part of the Kasich administration which, given the long list of federal budget cuts that directly impact Ohio, could be costing Ohio federal dollars and local jobs.Full Story... →
While regular Ohioans who traveled across the State to be heard by their elected legislature were locked out of the Statehouse and left outside in freezing temperatures apparently due to a decision by the Ohio Department of Public Safety or one of its agencies, Republicans were being wined and dined in the Statehouse basement. Is this what Thomas Charles, Director of Public Safety was trying to prevent regular Ohioans from seeing? Elected Republicans dining with lobbyists.
Meanwhile outside, the locked out Ohioans broke out in song and sang “God […]Full Story... →

I was just forwarded this Kasich fundraising email sent out by his campaign (is he running for something already?) that attempts to raise money off Kasich and Jones’ attack on Ohio’s middle class workers and their attempts to break the backs of Ohio’s unions.
More proof that SB5 is about busting the unions and not about the budget.Full Story... →
Ohio Association of Professional Firefighters President Mark Sanders agrees with Plunderbund: there will be no budget savings from SB5…Full Story... →
State Representative Robert Hagan (D-Youngstown) and Congressman Tim Ryan (D-Niles) addresses hundreds of opponents of SB 5 in yesterday’s forum in Youngstown State University.
They also have some great video from yesterday’s protests in Dayton:
Congressman Tim Ryan is going to be protesting SB 5 in Columbus today at 1 p.m. So is former Governor Ted Strickland. Stand with them and stand up to Governor John Kasich and tell him that the politics of division work for Fox News, but not in Ohio.Full Story... →
