I started off writing a very snarky post about Casey Kozlowski, the 23 year old kid who was just sworn in as State Rep for the 99th District, focused only on his age and his inexperience (e.g. This kid makes Josh Mandel look like Bill Batchelder!). And make no mistake this kid is certainly too young and seriously underqualified by almost every stardard. But I ended up focusing on something much more serious.

We’ve confirmed that Governor-elect Kasich is looking to double the number of Ohio Highway Patrol officers to be assigned to his protective detail.
However, when asked if the doubling was the result of Kasich’s decision to maintain his residence in Westerville and Bexley, my source said no. Instead, Kasich is actually anticipating that he’s going to need the protection because he’ll be so controversial. That’s the reason I was given. Dead pan.
He’s probably right about the controversial part, but I really don’t think his personal safety is at risk.

Like Alvin Greene, I think Christine O’Donnell gets more attention than she deserves. She simply was never a serious candidate. However, she may be in serious trouble.
The FBI and U.S. Department of Justice is reportedly investigating O’Donnell for using her federal campaign account to pay for personal expenses such as her rent.
O’Donnell, predictably, alleged that this is nothing more than a political conspiracy to try to cripple a former Senate candidate who lost by over sixteen points, because, hey, that Obama feller has nothing more important to do than worry about Christine O’Donnell bewitching […]Full Story... →
