In 2008, John McCain and Sarah Palin turned out 12,000 people at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati right before the election. Today, John Boehner, Rob Portman, and John Kasich appeared together at what was billed to be the GOP’s major rally before the election. The people in the audience came to see an Ohioan they are convinced will be the next Speaker of the House.
If more than 600 people were there, I’d be surprised. McCain-Palin lost. So will Kasich-Taylor tomorrow.
And according to the recent polls today, 13% of the Portman voters in this audience won’t be voting for Kasich tomorrow.
