Ohio’s Green Party Gubernatorial Candidate Dennis Spisak claims to have a blog.
In reality it’s just a diary over at Progress Ohio.
This PO diary certainly could be considered a blog if the posts were actually written by Spisak himself. But the “posts” are nothing more than a series of poorly-edited press releases from Spisak’s campaign.
In Today’s Youngstown Vindicator interview story, when asked why he should be re-elected, Ted Strickland say basically if you elect his opponent(Kasich) you will have to deal with 40% less revenue coming into the state coffers.

UPDATE: ?Judge Corrigan confirms that there is some other Peter J. Corrigan who pulled petitions to run against Dennis as a Republican. ?It ain’t him.
Because I’m about to run for Cuyahoga County Council, I check the good ol’ candidate’s list regularly, and something very weird has popped up. ? Peter J. Corrigan is a Democratic Party elected judge in Cuyahoga County. ?Coincidentally, he was also once a prosecutor in Bill Mason’s office. ?Hmmmm….ain’t that special!
As of today’s candidate list (which changes all the time) Corrigan’s pulled petitions for his re-election as a […]Full Story... →
They pay people to blog here; they manipulate the system to get on the rec list, including–as verified–using Twitter to drive people here to rec their posts as soon as they are made, regardless of what they contain.
As a result, they make it seem like their views are more popular than they are.
Here’s what I know about the public option campaign I got hoodwinked by. ?Bob Brigham told me he was paid $4,000 a month to do blogger outreach back in the summer. ?Others surely got paid to blog at […]Full Story... →
Please respect Karl Rove’s right to publicly rant about family values while privately destroying it. Twice.
Famed Republican strategist Karl Rove got divorced last week, Politico reports.
Spokeswoman Dana Perino said, “Karl Rove and his wife, Darby, were granted a divorce last week. The couple came to the decision mutually and amicably, and they maintain a close relationship and a strong friendship. There will be no further comment and the family requests that its privacy be respected.”
Karl married Darby Hickson in 1986. They have one son, Andrew. Rove’s previous marriage to a Houston socialite ended after a […]Full Story... →
Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life just put out the results of an interesting study that find Ohio falls right about in the middle when it comes to having a religious population. (ht)
About 55% of Ohioans say religion is very important in their lives – which is just under the national average of 56%.
Mississippi tops the list with 82%. Alaska, N.H. and Vermont fall at the bottom with around 36%.
More evidence that Ohio is a pretty moderate, middle-of-the-road state and as long as the Ohio GOP keeps embracing wingnutty ideologues like […]Full Story... →
Just when you thought Hamilton County Republicans couldn’t get any fucking nuttier…
They book Michelle Bachmann for their Lincoln-Reagan Dinner.
Bachmann, who claims she was “called by God” to run for congress after fasting with her husband for three days, has promoted armed overthrow of the government, accused AmeriCorps of promoting “re-education camps”, pushed the idea of “death panels” and accused gay and lesbian Americans of suffering from “sexual identity disorders.”
Bachman is the worst kind of christofascist wackjob and it amazes me that anyone would invite her to speak in Ohio next year.
2010 is an important election […]Full Story... →
Or at least the naked threat of it:
What is the real intention of this Kenyan, Indonesian communist usurper? Is it to provide security for us or to destroy our security? Judge for yourself.
Seeing targeted destruction of our economy, our security, dissipation of American jobs, massive corruption in the Government, Congress Department of Justice and Judiciary, it might be time to start rallies and protests using our second amendment right to bear arms and organise in militias.
It wasn’t even a month ago that Sarah Palin called the “birther” position legitimate. I wonder how she feels […]Full Story... →
I’ve now reached the end of my rope. ?My first generation MacBook Pro is wonderful. ?It looks stunning, turns heads in coffee houses, runs well, and I’ve put it through some heavy lifting with tons of video work. ?Tons. ?It has never failed.
The fan simply will not turn off, despite all my attempts to stop it, and despite not running all that hot, ever. ?And this fan is loud. ?It disturbs guests in my apartment. ?I have to turn up the volume on my TV to drown it out. ?It runs when the laptop is open, sometimes […]Full Story... →
