Just heard it on the teevee. This is great. I suspect Holmgren was convinced by the notion of Josh Cribbs, who yesterday broke the NFL record for kick returns for a touchdown, and Jerome Harrison, who yesterday broke Jim Brown’s single game rushing record for the Browns, and ran for the 3rd most yards in NFL history.
I’ve been resisting writing about this team, because they’re so damn depressing. But the recent improvement, the emergence of some talent, the prospect of developing a QB, and the lure of one of the most valuable franchises in the NFL, with one of the most loyal fan bases in all of sport – well, all of that probably was irresistable to Holmgren.
