  • They unleashed hell alright. Losing to a 1-11 Browns team for the first time in 6 freakin' years. LOL. Nice job playing the spoiler. Enjoy it. Savor it. Smoke a cigar. Officially breaking out the silver polish. Boo hoo. Ouch.

PS – Our D allows first rushing touchdown? LOL. Bengals fans are feeling a bit less good about their two wins. We're horrible. I got a feeling Tomlin lost this team at some point.

i think for most clevelanders the “spoiler” angle isn't so important, but this was a much needed win for a very demoralized city against the hated stillers. even someone like myself, having given up on the city of cleveland a long time ago, felt a slight twinge of pride over this browns victory.

  • There was some crazy dude downtown this morning ranting about how the Browns were gonna win the championship.

  • mvirenicus

that was me. i've tried to have myself committed in countless ways and figured the browns championship schtick would do the trick, but they still demand i walk free.

1 -72,000 seat football stadium who's “tenant” wont pay a nickel in taxes and upkeep. Cost to taxpayers: 20 million dollars a year.

1 -Mediocre football franchise owned by a Prick family who hides their taxable wealth as a “foundation”. Cost: 1.2 billion dollars.

1 day of trashing cubicles of self-rightous Steelers fans who wouldn't even live in pittsburgh if they had to PRICELESS.

  • If one defines mediocre football franchise as the only team to have won 6 Super Bowls, then mark us down in the mediocrity column, please.

I'd live in Pittsburgh if I had to.

    I think I'm with you on the stadium/taxpayer thing though. I think…

  • There was s spoiler angle. Ask Tim.

  • cubejockey

i meant cleveland as the mediocre franchise…I bow to steelers organization for that. We'd have to hold a Lerner hostage to win a super bowl in cleveland.

  • ah. i had a sneaking suspicion i was taking your comment the wrong way. apologies there. i see your point now. 😉

  • mvirenicus

tim is all about the spoilage. tim isn't cleveland. most browns fans are just happy with the win, although elated would be more accurate since it came against the stillers.

    Riot at the VFW: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/

Is it wrong that I find this story hilarious?

  • Nope. Pretty funny stuff. Wild guess who threw the beer bottles. There's a reason for the plastic only rule now. 😉

I'm guessing mom is not one to be crossed. I felt more pitiful sadness than anger. For about 3 or 4 games now.
