I tend not to jump on the party bandwagon by reposting press releases, links, etc put out by the ODP. But today I’m going to make an exception just because of the high-quality comedic value of a recent endeavor by the Ohio Democratic Party.
It turns out someone at the ODP had the foresight to reserve the domain name robertportman.com. And they have done great things with it.
If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out. It’s a great parody of Rob Portman’s campaign website, complete with links to every unflattering press release, news article and opinion piece about Rob since he announced he was running for Voinovich’s senate seat.
My favorite part of the site is the message you receive after clicking on the “Contribute” button:
After the Bush-Portman Administration you don’t have enough money to contribute.
Honestly, I don’t think this strategy of trying to tie Portman to Bush is going to have any big impact on the election. But it certainly can’t hurt, I guess.
Note to ODP new media ninjas: RobertPortman is still available as a Twitter username as well. I look forward to reading Robert Portman’s tweets.
