I thought it was unAmerican and “emboldening the terrorists” to admit that we might not be winning a war?
“When you aren’t winning in this kind of war, you are losing. And, in Afghanistan today, we are not winning,” McCain said in remarks delivered at the American Enterprise Institute, a Washington-based think tank.
I guess it’s OK when the President isn’t a Republican.
(OK, with less snark, McCain is right – we sure as hell aren’t “winning” in Afghanistan. Thanks, Dubya and your Iraq War distraction! Hopefully a wind-down in Iraq will mean we can ramp up again in Afghanistan and help get the government in control of their own country there. This is the war we had reason to fight, and the one we should have been focused on all along.)
