Billy Kimball seems to think so

President-Elect Barack Obama’s transition team is reported to be deeply divided over whether to offer a post to Monica Lewinsky, the former White House Intern whose intimate relationship with President Bill Clinton led to his impeachment.

Until now, Lewinsky was one of the few high-profile figures from the Clinton Presidency who had not been recruited for the incoming Obama team. Mr. Clinton’s brother Roger is another, though on Friday there were rumors he would be named ambassador to Spain.

Gotta love it. Sure makes the divisiviness of the primaries seem rather irrelevant, doesn’t it?

Hillary’s third in line to the presidency (but not second… she’s too divisive for that) Rahm is CoS.

All I’m waiting for is that all this disclosure about the Clinton Foundation is to make Bill Clinton our next U.N. representative.

Oops, maybe I shouldn’t have written that, yet.

How anyone expected Obama to hire experienced people who somehow avoided the last two Presidential Administrations is beyond me. Folks from the Carter Administration is hardly change I could have believed in.

    I can’t stop smiling.

    Hey Billy: BLOW ME!

  • So every presidential administration is full of people from the party’s previous presidential administration? That’s seems a stretch of a claim to me. Surely there are qualified people who never served under Clinton. Seems like a chicken/egg scenario to me. At some point it HAS to be possible to have those serve who had not previously.

I’m not necessarily saying I have a problem with it. One thing I stopped doing long ago was doubting Obama’s judgment.

    Just sayin’.

  • He is going to pick Hillary Clinton to serve as Secretary of State.

What does THAT say about his judgement?

    Just sayin’.

No, but if you want the most experienced candidates, you have to admit they’re going to be found in the prior party’s Administration.

Bush chose Cheney from his father’s Administration. Rumsfeld was an old Washington hand. Powell, too.

Rice served in H.W.’s Administration. Ascroft was a U.S. Senator with no prior experience in an Administration.
