I actually caught wind of this live just after she was on and based on Matthews’ reaction I knew something big had happened. He was stunned. You will be too if you haven’t seen it:
Couple things you can do:
A Democratic campaign official emailed that Bachmann’s Democratic opponent has raised at least $23,000 online since the Hardball segment aired.
Michelle may have just completely screwed herself. This will be one to keep an eye on!Full Story... →
Barack decides to fight back on ACORN. Hard
Add the Obama campaign to the growing list of players who think that DOJ’s election-eve investigation into ACORN is a repeat of the politicization of the department that we saw in the US attorney firings scandal.
“With this voter fraud [investigation], we’re seeing an unholy alliance of law enforcement and the ugliest form of partisan politics,” Bob Bauer, an elections lawyer with the Obama camp, said on a conference call with reporters just now. Bauer compared the decision to launch the investigation with the US attorneys scandal, in which several US […]Full Story... →
The reason it’s a campaign narrative is because it’s true. First there was the gutter level attacks and the unwillingness of McCain and Palin to tamp down the rhetoric about Obama. It ultimately led to rallies turning into lynch mobs complete with death threats, angry rhetoric, hate speech, and even violence. You will remember that the first time someone shouted “TERRORIST” John McCain moved happily along in his attack speech. He did not stop right then and there and repudiate anything. He only did so when the chorus of blogger and journalist go so loud as to demand a response.

While the official word is, no doubt, that nobody from the McCain campaign wants to see anyone get hurt, the constant classification of liberals as America-hating enemies, and the media as unapologetically liberal (ha!), by McPalin in speeches is having an effect with supporters (eg, all of the supporters who yell “terrorist” and “kill him”). I suspect the response is what is hoped for; after all, why even obliquely encourage this stuff unless it’s what you want?
At any rate, the problems continue to escalate as battery was committed against a reporter in North Carolina for, I guess, being […]Full Story... →
An internal investigation by the popular online market Intrade has revealed that a single investor’s purchases prompted “unusual” price swings that significantly boosted the prediction that Sen. John McCain will become president.
Over the past several weeks, the investor has pushed hundreds of thousands of dollars into one of Intrade’s predictive markets for the presidential election, the company said, resulting in repeated monetary losses through a strategy that belies any financial motive.
It hasn’t helped.
InTrade’s markets currently predict the chance of a McCain win at about 16%.Full Story... →
Just heard news on MSNBC that the U.S. Supreme Court has overruled a lower court ruling and ruled in favor of the Secretary of State, dealing a blow to the GOP. Voters will be able to vote using a regular ballot and will not be required to vote provisionally.
Update: Lower courts were wrong to get involved. Victory for state of Ohio. Ends possibility others state GOPers will try the same stunt. Great news.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is siding with Ohio’s top elections official in a dispute with the state Republican Party […]Full Story... →
Sen. McCain is down in the polls right now, but he can win if the following events are to occur between now and Election Day:
* McCain rides a wave of positive media coverage after his announcement that Joe the Plumber will be his treasury secretary and that Larry the Cable Guy will be U.S. attorney general.
* Gov. Palin wows critics by filling in on the season premiere of “30 Rock” with a dead-on impression of Tina Fey, who’s busy doing “Saturday Night Live.”
* The U.S. Supreme Court rules that electoral votes in California, Connecticut […]Full Story... →
This is the kind of ignorance and lunacy we are up against. Wingnuts think the flag Obama stands in front of is some modification of the American flag with an O added! OMG!
…or it’s just the flag of the state of Ohio. Either one. Whatever. You know. Could be an Obama flag bastardization. Could be the Ohio flag. Whichever.
Wingnuts went completely unhinged. Michelle Malkin had to talk them down!

So here’s the deal. The Ohio GOP is actively coordinating to influence this election. The evidence is clear. First there was absolute hysteria over early voting and the registration overlap (same day voting). Next was the general Republican tactic this cycle of attacking ACORN. Call it a weapon of mass distraction. While the mainstream media is going on about the juicy ACORN story, the GOP in Ohio and elsewhere has been quietly trying to suppress voters from the political process. We’ve seen the attempts to toss out 200,000 new voters because they don’t match BMV records. This, while their own […]Full Story... →
