Owens, the third party candidate for AG, talks about some loser from Sunbury who, through the magic of Robert’s “passionate representation”, went from being the town drunk to Most Valuable Player on his church softball league.

It now seems beyond doubt that Colin Powell will endorse Barack Obama and thereby hammer the final nail in the coffin of the Republican campaign to hold onto the White House.

I’ve mentioned many times before that the historical data shows that liberals are better for the economic health of this country than conservatives. Tax policy, social policy, government spending – liberals consistently come out on top. Somewhat interestingly, in the 80 years since the last financial meltdown Democrats and Republicans have split control of the White House virtually down the middle, and when you look at stock market performance over that 80 year period, performance under a Democratic White House crushes the performance under a GOP White House – with or without Hoover.
