Sarah Palin is Hooked on Phonics!

On October 3, 2008 By

In the VP debate last night I looked at my wife after Palin said nuclear and said, “Oh shit. Not another one!”. She, of course, said nookular! Apparently this is a recurring problem that the campaign has been dealing with:

I would think they’d want to prevent her from saying this given it is a direct link to Bush. I’m just disappointed she didn’t say new-clear! That’d would have been sweet.

I know yard signs don’t work and I’ve even heard they are for losers.

But I still have to wonder- does size make a difference?

Two of these Carney signs went up this week in my neighborhood.

It looks like the trendlines are about the same. If McCain doesn’t narrow the gap soon in PA he may have to shut it down as well. North Carolina might need the resources. Florida for sure does! Together they represent a pickup of 32 EVs over Kerry’s 2004 performance. Both have recently broken hard for Obama.

CNN is reporting that Sarah and Todd Palin just released their tax statements from last year. Total income: about $170K.

Which, it turns out, is just about the same amount Cindy and John McCain have on each of their American Express credit cards.

Or about half of what Cindy McCain pays for one outfit.

…and in better news, the state Obama is speaking in here (Michigan) was surrendered to the Obama camp yesterday. Red sirens going off in the McCain headquarters. Those 17 EVs lost is going to tighten up their math quite a bit. Especially given the dynamics of the electoral race. Their campaign has even so much as admitted the only way they win is by the slimmest of margins.

Gwen Ifill. Still Evil?

On October 3, 2008 By

So, don’t you love it when wingnuts make absolute asses out of themselves by overhyping something? Usually it is the terrsts, or wmd, or yellowcake, or other such nonsense.

In the hours and days leading up to the VP debate the entire right were breathing into paper bags over Gwen Ifill. She wrote some book. She can’t possibly be unbiased. More gotcha journalism coming.

How stupid do these people look this morning?
