Yesterday Harry Reid [D-NV] introduced Senate Resolution 608 – “A resolution relative to the death of Jesse Alexander Helms, Jr., former United States Senator for the State of North Carolina” – and the entire Sentate signed on as co-sponsors.

The resolution expresses “profound sorrow and deep regret” over the death of this racist prick and claims he “made invaluable contributions to his community, State, Nation, and the World.”


When did gay bashing and race baiting become invaluable contributions to any community?

Merriam-Webster is finally adding “wing nut” to the latest edition of their dictionary.

No news yet on “Christofascist” or “Asshat”. But it’s only a matter of time, I suppose.

This weekend I saw this piece of an interview with Ken Blackwell on CNN. In it Ken claims “John McCain is willing to stand before African American voters and say ‘I care’.”

It’s nice to see that McCain found at least one black Republican to support him.

Unfortunately, Blackwell’s claim just isn’t true. Sure, McCain may stand there and SAY he cares- but if he really did care then he wouldn’t have hired former Jesse Helms cohorts to work on his campaign.
