Update: It’s out!

Download Day 2008 Firefox 3.0 comes out today, and the Mozilla community is trying to set a Guinness World Record for “most downloads in a 24 hour period”. Firefox has been a leader in web browsing innovations for years; I’ve been using it as my daily browser since version 0.7 came out in beta. If you already use Firefox, consider downloading the upgrade now. If you don’t, maybe you should check out the great software that the Open Source community can create.

Get Firefox 3 here.

  • Apparently Firefox 3 is NOT here yet. Link goes to 2.0.0.14 version download, which I already have. I wish it was ready as FF for mac blows big chunks.

  • I know – it’s supposed to have been out by 1PM Eastern. I was all excited to download it (and apparently so is everyone else, as the Mozilla servers are bogged down big time today).

  • Just downloaded 3.0. Painless install. Painless update. So far I like it. Hope it is more stable on Mac than before.

  • I like it too. Faster, with better memory management. Not sure if I’m sold on the new address bar functionality or not.
