Does the name Ribby Goodfellow ring a bell? Probably not.

Does this help?

Probably not. How about this?

No? Well, Ribby Goodfellow was a Hillary staffer who dressed up in Uncle Sam gear to taunt Rick Lazio, Hillary’s opponent in her 2000 race for the Senate. Seems Rick wouldn’t release his tax returns and Team Hillary took exception to it, culminating in Mr. Goodfellow (outstanding name, btw) following Rick around shouting him down as Uncle Sam. The American people had the right to know!

Comments at the time were pretty telling. You might recognize a […]

Top Ten Eliot Spitzer Excuses

On March 10, 2008 By

Update: The video!

I like Eliot Spitzer and even with his stupid mistakes I think he should stick around. So I wasn’t going to post anything about his – uh… bad choices – but this this Letterman top ten list was too funny to pass up:

“Eliot Spitzer Excuses” (To air this evening … )

10. “Oh come on, like you were never involved in a prostitution ring.”

9. “Hookers is fun.”

8. “Just trying to help the economy.”

7. “Have you ever been to Albany?”

6. “It’s part of my new MTV prank show, ‘Spitz’d.’”

5. “Haven’t […]

It’s. Just. Getting. Old.

Geraldine Ferraro, former VP candidate and current member of Hillary’s finance committee on Obama:

“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position,” she continued. “And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”

Can anyone tell me what Ms. Ferraro means here? What concept? A black President? Doesn’t she want us to fall all over the “concept” of a woman President? Obama would […]

Nice comeback. With all due respect, Senator Clinton, but um…I’m kicking your ass! LOL

– Twice as many states
– More popular vote
– More delegates (including supers)

Yeah. Really appreciate it, but um…no.

“I don’t know how somebody who’s in second place is offering the vice presidency to the person who’s in first place” – classic!

…nice job calling out their hypocrisy too. I guess what they are really saying is that Obama would be ready on day one!

And there was much rejoicing

On March 10, 2008 By

We’ve fixed the availability problem (we think) that many people have been having. It turned out it was an old plugin that broke at some point when we upgraded the blog software, but it did so in a nefarious way that was invisible to people logged in (ie, blog authors!).

Anyway, everything should be kosher now. Thanks for your patience and threatening emails.

Nazi Candidate Picks VP

On March 10, 2008 By

Afraid of a John McCain presidency?

Man, it could be SO much worse!

John Taylor Bowles, the nutjob who is running for President as a Nazi (aka “the White People’s Candidate”) has chosen a Matthew Ramsey as his VP.

Ramsey, pictured here in his full Nazi costume, is described as “a stalwart National Socialist and creator of Nukeisrael.”

These folks are unbelievable. Literally!

What do you do when you are getting thumped long after you thought the election would be over and you are unable to make up any significant ground?

Offer your opponent a VP slot in a disingenuous strategy to make yourself look like the uniter and not the divider that you are:

Hillary and Bill Clinton are again teaming up on Barack Obama — this time saying the first-term U.S. lawmaker, whom they have derided as inexperienced, would be a strong running mate on a Democratic presidential ticket headed by the former first […]

So Team Billary wants to claim momentum now. Funny that. Even though they claimed 3 of 4 victories, the real story is that they split the big states (Obama actually won more delegates in Texas) and the two smaller states. All in all the delegate difference changed by 6. Given that Obama was up by about 100, it doesn’t really change the race at all. Unless you count the spin of wins.

Hell, once you count the March 8 Wyoming contest the difference since losing 11 straight for Team Billary is a whopping plus 4.

Shakes out like […]

Bill Bradley hits nail on head:

Former senator Bill Bradley, a leading supporter of Obama and who ran for president in 2000, accused the Clintons of “lying” in pursuit of victory. “The bigger the lie, the better the chance they think they’ve got. That’s been their whole approach,” he said. “She’s going to lose a whole generation of people who got involved in politics […]
