The AP is reporting that at a hearing this afternoon Democratic lawmakers voted to subpoena Ken Blackwell – who has refused to comply with their previous ‘invitations’.
House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers still has to decide if he will actually issue the subpoena. But during today’s hearing his gave Mr. Blackwell one more chance:
“Mr. Ken Blackwell, wherever you are in North America today, please know that we are not sending the gendarme for you this moment. I do not like to issue subpoenas. … The only problem is we can never reach him.”
