I’ll have a full report later on the amazing Obama organizing event in Columbus I attended earlier tonight but I thought longtime readers of PB would want to see this right away. Toward the end of the event I wandered to the front prepared to leave before something caught my eye. It was a head. A really unique head. I thought I recognized it. I thought to myself “no way”. The more I looked, the more I began to realize “yes way”. It took me a minute, but then someone spoke to the head and the head talked. Then I […]Full Story... →
I always loved the smell of desperation in the morning.
WASHINGTON – As Sen. Hillary Clinton faces a money crunch, several of her top fund-raisers are considering using independent organizations to wage their own campaigns on her behalf.
Another Clinton fund-raiser, who didn’t want to be named because he hasn’t made a final decision, said he may pump as much as $500,000 into television, radio and newspaper ads for Mrs. Clinton.
An anonymous half million. Nice.
Some Clinton backers also worry that any new independent organization will be compared to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the group […]Full Story... →
As soon as I saw this I began looking for an excuse to post it. I cried I laughed so hard. Funniest thing I’ve seen in weeks! Then I got an out. A perfect reason to HAVE to post this. NAMBLA. Ya’ll remember NAMBLA right? Blackwell’s last stand?
Well, we haven’t posted anything NAMBLA related here at PB in quite a while so I thought I’d share this (be prepared to LYAO):Full Story... →
Dowd pretty much nails it:
But Hillary is not the best test case for women. We’ll never know how much of the backlash is because she’s a woman or because she’s this woman or because of the ick factor of returning to the old Clinton dysfunction.
So can we stop making this about her being a woman? It’s never been about her gender, but about HER. I’d say the ick factor is pretty strong and it’s not about being woman, but this woman, with this history in this time.
I got an interesting email from a friend the other […]Full Story... →
You know how I know it’s an election year?
Because another Republican English-Only bill was just introduced in Ohio.
This time it’s coming from Rep. Robert Mecklenborg – who just happens to be facing a primary challenger on March 4th.
And what’s the best way to excite Republican voters weeks before an election?
By introducing legislation that shows just how much you really hate foreigners- of course.
Mecklenborg’s H. B. No. 477 would “require the use of the English language by state and local government entities in official actions and proceedings.”
It would also force all state and […]Full Story... →
I posted in October about charter school director Kari DiCianni and her husband Bill who were accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from a Toledo-area charter school- the now-closed Performing Arts School of Metropolitan Toledo (PASMT).
Today the Blade is reporting that Bill DiCianni was found guilty.
DiCianni, 49, pleaded no contest to four charges yesterday. Originally charged with 28 counts of criminal activity involving money, DiCianni was found guilty of one count each of passing bad checks, forgery, grand theft, and money laundering.
He faces up to 8 1/2 years in prison when sentenced Feb. […]Full Story... →
Remind me again why congress is holding hearings about the use of performance-enhancing drugs by baseball players?
What business is it of the legislative branch of our government if Roger Clemens used illegal drugs? We already have laws against it- let judicial branch take care of enforcing them and get back to work on de-funding the war and funding healthcare.Full Story... →
Hillary! You got some splainin’ to do!
Last night I read a post by The Chief Source’s Kyle Kutuchief. He asks a great question: “Why Won’t Hillary Debate in Cleveland?”. He has a hunch:
It is my opinion that Hillary Clinton and her campaign are afraid of Cuyahoga County. Hillary is going to have to approach Ohio like a Republican and try to win the rural parts of the state in order to try and win. It is going to be interesting to see what location will be acceptable for Clinton to debate Obama in Ohio.
This morning I […]Full Story... →
