More talk about VP candidates – this time from the Sandusky Register’s Rufus G.W. Sanders who predicts:

It will be after South Carolina the name of Ted Strickland will begin to surface as the leading candidate for the Democratic vice-presidential nominee. Even though Bill Richardson will definitely be on the short list; it is the governor of Ohio who will be considered seriously.

While I still think Ted would make a great VP- I’m fairly certain Hillary will not pick Ted for her running mate.

He’s already said he’s not interested but, more importantly, he wouldn’t give her much of a boost outside of Ohio.

She needs someone who is going to appeal nationwide- and to voters that she wouldn’t get on her own.

Personally, I think Bill Richardson would be a more likely choice since he some has real foreign policy experience and could provide help winning over latino voters.
