We NEED to keep religion out of government.

I talked about this in a post yesterday discussing the similarities between the bible and the Koran.

If we try to use our religious texts as the basis for our government- like they do in certain islamic countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia- then we risk losing everything about America that makes it great.

Unfortunately, it looks like the leading Republican candidates are all but promising to make that a reality.

Here’s what Mike Huckabee said in an interview yesterday about the Bible vs. the Constitution:

“I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that’s what we need to do — to amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view.”

Mike Huckabee wants to “amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards”.

Does this include stoning people to death for adultery and for worshiping other gods, Mike?

Keep it up, Huck- you nut job. This is only going to help make you look even crazier!

  • Beat me to the punch, Joe! I rather enjoyed Joe Scarborough’s response of “Interesting”. And by “enjoyed”, I mean “thought was completely soft-peddling the issue”, of course.

  • Huckabye? Huckabee wants to have adulterers, homosexuals and rape victims stoned to death. He also wants to make alcohol and music videos illegal, and make women 2nd class citizens and to take all girls out of school.

Oops, my bad, that’s another ‘religion’.

    Hey, anybody but the PIAPS!

    if you?re MAD
    punish your country
    VOTE for Hillary
