According to FirstRead, Obama is giving a speech at Google headquarters today to unveil his innovation and technology agenda.
Part of his speech hits the Bush administration for their evil policies…
?To seize this moment, we have to use technology to open up our democracy. It?s no coincidence that one of the most secretive Administrations in history has favored special interests and pursued policies that could not stand up to sunlight. As President, I?ll change that.”
Obama’s agenda calls for open access and more transparency to government information as well as the appointment of a Chief Technology Officer to ensure everything gets implemented.
In my opinion, Obama made a good choice by unveiling his innovation and technology agenda at Google. The company’s motto is “Don’t be evil” after all- a motto that could easily be applied to Obama’s campaign.
And Google has experience getting into fights with the Bush administration.
Last year Google was the only major internet search company that refused to comply with an overreaching White House subpoena for private information about the search behaviour of Google’s users.
