Update: No, thankfully it wasn’t hacked. But the new site does look sweet. Head over and give Harding a hand kicking the tires!
Either Dave Hickman finally figured out how to hack into the slam and ban ProgressOhio website…
…or some really cool upgrades are coming to a Progressive Hub near you. I’ll let you decide. 😉Full Story... →
I was going to write about this ridiculous non-story yesterday but it didn’t seem worth the effort.
The story is basically this: Kevin Dewine is whining that Marc Dann offended Christians and is calling for Dann to apologize.
Dann apparently sent an email to his communications director that contained the statement: “Jesus had it better on good friday.”
As we all know, Kevin is an obnoxious twit who regularly pushes stories like this out there hoping to make the dems look bad.
The last time it was a 13 year old kid.
This time it was […]Full Story... →
According to FirstRead, Obama is giving a speech at Google headquarters today to unveil his innovation and technology agenda.
Part of his speech hits the Bush administration for their evil policies…
?To seize this moment, we have to use technology to open up our democracy. It?s no coincidence that one of the most secretive Administrations in history has favored special interests and pursued policies that could not stand up to sunlight. As President, I?ll change that.”
Obama’s agenda calls for open access and more transparency to government information as well as the appointment of a Chief Technology Officer to […]Full Story... →
Ever see a drunk guy fall? It’s those last few seconds where he tries to prevent it so hard that his movements define awkward. Same thing.
Newspapers are in decline. New media is exploding. The grip of control is slipping and the desperation to hang on is evident. Though some are convinced there are ways to coexist, I’m not so sure. It has occurred to me on more than one occasion that an entirely new model will be what succeeds. There is a reason someone like Feagler would write a rambling nonsensical diatribe against bloggers. Any guesses what that […]Full Story... →
I talked yesterday about Bush’s veto of the spending bill for the Departments of Education, Labor, and Health and Human Services that would have funded education, job training programs and health care- including cancer research and veterans health care.
This morning I read an interesting article in the Associated Baptist Press about the ?reducing the need for abortions? initiative that was also included in the bill Bush vetoed.
The initiative would have increased funding for “pregnancy prevention, contraception and family support programs” by $618 million.
Ohio Rep Tim Ryan was a big supporter of the initiative.
?Our budget […]Full Story... →
If I heard this once I heard this a thousand times. This was probably the most popular of my grandmother Mammy’s sayings. I remember hearing it all the time. She sometimes even misapplied it I think she liked it so much – just to be able to say it. She could be talking about modern-day Atlanta.
The situation is dire. For the first time in over 100 years, much of the southeastern United States is experiencing severe drought. Atlanta might run out of water by January. Read that last sentence again to yourself….slowly. It has reduced Governor Sonny […]Full Story... →
Talk about a couple of Dem Rockstars. What would a Gore-Obama ticket do? AdAge’s Bob Garfield thinks he knows:
If Barack Obama joined a Gore-Obama ticket and turned over his organization and war chest to Gore, they would sweep the primaries and be unbeatable next November. And Obama would become the odds-on favorite to succeed president Gore in 2012 or 2016.
I’m not so sure Obama himself couldn’t do the same. My favorite ticket has always been Edwards-Obama. I think Obama is hitting his stride and Hillary continues to take heat from all sides. The thought of Gore and […]Full Story... →
