JSOnline – Nov. 9, 2007 – Frustrated by inaction in Congress on global warming, Midwest governors will convene in Milwaukee next week to craft a regionwide strategy to curb greenhouse gas emissions and boost renewable energy.

The Midwestern Governors Association Energy Summit will take place Wednesday and Thursday at the Pfister Hotel. The event is being led by Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle, a Democrat, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, a Republican.

Hey Ted! Ya’ Goin’? Love to see some leadership on this.

Bush Praises Dictator

On November 3, 2007 Pakistan’s General Pervez Musharraf

suspended the constitution jailed the Supreme Court of Pakistan Judges closed all private television channels and imposed martial law in Pakistan.

And today President Bush praised Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf saying “he had no reason to doubt his pledges to return to democratic rule.”

The way I see it, George Bush is just jealous that HE can’t impose martial law.

When the Democrats took back congress in January they promised us legislation that would help working americans.

In addition to a minimum wage increase (which they passed) and health care for poor children (SCHIP – which the president vetoed), some democratic lawmakers also proposed changes to the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) which threatens to burden millions of additional middle-class families over $50 billion in tax dollars this year.
