Attorney General Marc Dann has filed complaints again two Dayton-area charter schools- and he’s planning to sue additional schools.

These charter schools suck state taxpayer dollars away from the state’s public schools while consistantly failing to meet “Adequate Yearly Progress standards.”

Wingnuts are always going on about “angry liberals”. Well, no shit.

Think about it. Since 1998, we’ve witnessed the first presidential impeachment since the 1860s, the first presidential election to go into “overtime” since the 1870s; the first attack on the continental United States since 1812; the first major preemptive “war of choice” in U.S. history; and the first televised destruction of an American city. I don’t mean to equate any of these non-9/11 occurances with what we witnessed that day, but it has been an extraordinary span of time.

Greed is not a dirty word

Really? From the Houghton-Mifflin Thesaurus:

greed, noun

Excessive desire for more than one needs or deserves: acquisitiveness, avarice, avariciousness, avidity, covetousness, cupidity, graspingness.

I know it’s a right-wing specialty to “newspeak” the English language to their benefit, but this is pretty ridiculous. I seem to remember some bit of advice in the Bible about not coveting your neighbor’s stuff. Hell, greed was explicitly listed as one of Christianity’s seven deadly sins.
