I just received notice from YouTube that all of my videos about Scott Pullins have been removed due to “Copyright Infringement”…

Which is really strange since Fox has not asked to have my Simpsons videos removed and CNN hasn’t complained about all of their segments I’ve posted.

Also- I’ve heard nothing about the Ken Blackwell campaign Commercials I’ve uploaded- and not even a peep from ONN about the ‘Columbus On The Record’ clips I posted online.

Still, I received this message from YouTube moments ago:

Dear Member:
This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by Mount Vernon News claiming that this material is infringing:

Scott Pullins Calls In Sick to Court: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2FovwzCBWQ

Please Note: Repeat incidents of copyright infringement will result in the deletion of your account and all videos uploaded to that account. In order to avoid future strikes against your account, please delete any videos to which you do not own the rights, and refrain from uploading additional videos that infringe on the copyrights of others. For more information about YouTube’s copyright policy, please read the Copyright Tips guide.

If you elect to send us a counter notice, please go to our Help Center to access the instructions.

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the Copyright Act, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification may be subject to liability.

YouTube, Inc.

Are they serious?

Like I would ever “knowingly materially misrepresent” shit?

The clips are OBVIOUSLY from the Mount Vernon News- I didn’t remove anything from their video. All I did was move it to YouTube so it would be easier to access and always available.

I even link directly to the Mount Vernon News website in every post I made related to the video. Hell, they should be thanking me for driving traffic to their site instead of whining about copyright crap to YouTube.
