Email from Earl Britt tonight announcing the launch of johnforcongress.com. Paperwork filing and fundraising apparatus online is being set up. The site is sparse as newly launched ones usually are. Look for more coming out of the 16th soon. I look for John to run a really good race. Good stuff.
Full Story... →Damn. These guys are on a free speech roll. First, our soldiers. Next a candidate for President of the United States. It appears Ron calling bullshit on those who would distort true Republican ideals is not welcome on the debates. A petition is being circulated to ban him from them in the future.
I don’t blame them, really. He’s such a wet blanket on the otherwise cheering masses of mouth breathing knuckle draggers. I made a modest wager with a buddy of mine recently that they’d do this. I’m unclear whether I’ll win with just the attempts to […]
Full Story... →I first wrote about this here. Now we learn that though your average soldier will not be able to use sites like MySpace and YouTube, the “official” military will be able to. They have yet to answer bandwidth excuses to any satisfaction and this appears to be yet more stifling of the very freedoms these kids are supposedly over there fighting and dying for.

Think Progress notes the numerous excuses and backtracking that followed the announcement. They either can’t get their story straight or they never had one.
Keith Olbermann discussed this recently with the general and it seems clear that the Republicans are out to eat their own in their orgy of a power scramble. Not only can you not be anti-war. You can’t even be pro-war to a different tune than the administration. It’s laughable and an indication that […]
Full Story... →PB’s own Brian Guilfoos is 31 today. Stop in and wish him a happy b-day.
Thanks for helping to keep the PB ship afloat and continuing to make it an interesting place to visit. Don’t sweat the decade. You’re still a pup! Happy Birthday man.
[sorry, couldn’t resist]
Full Story... →I guess since Bizzy takes a shot at me (ostensibly for something I didn’t write), and shuts down comments – I’ll comment here. First off, I asked Brian to blog here and I’m not in the habit of trying to police that. I don’t have to agree with him always or with Joe either – or anyone else I invite to blog on PB. In fact, I find it healthy to not have 3 or 4 Eric’s all blogging like me. I stand by his right to blog in his own way and with his own voice.
As […]
