Amazingly enough, something George W. Bush did has brought the ADL and CAIR to the same side of an issue: Dennis Prager’s recent statements about Keith Ellison’s desire to take an oath of office on the Quran are inappropriate for a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, a Presidential appointment.

Yeah – a member of the US Holocaust Memorial has said it’s anti-American for a Muslim member of Congress to take an oath on anything but the Christian bible, and if someone is unwilling to take said oath on said bible, they should not be allowed to serve in Congress.

CAIR have called for his removal, and rightfully so.

US Constitution, Article VI, ¶ 3:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

    ‘Nuff said.
