Kids select Blackwell for governor, DeWine for senate

Kids Voting USA participants selected a different route for the state of Ohio when they didn?t agree with their parents on several election races.
Participants from Hopewell-Loudon Local Schools, New Riegel Local Schools and Tiffin city and parochial schools selected Republicans Kenneth Blackwell as Ohio?s governor and Mike DeWine as their U.S. Senator.
Their totals were: Blackwell, 1,180, and Democrat Ted Strickland, 976. For the Senate race, the totals were DeWine, 1,031, and Democrat Sherrod Brown, 994.
In the actual statewide election, Brown and Strickland won their respective races.
