COLUMBUS ? Volunteers preparing for today’s “Republicans for Strickland” press conference at the statehouse were confronted by Matt Naugle, Blackwell’s official campaign blogger, and another young Blackwell staffer.
They had a message for one of the Republicans scheduled to appear at the event:: “Tell Rocky that his father would be rolling over in his grave if he knew he was supporting Strickland”.
The message was passed along to Charles “Rocky” Saxbe, the son of William Saxbe, Richard Nixon’s Attorney General.

Jennifer Brunner, Democratic candidate for Ohio Secretary of State, today stressed the need for a Secretary of State who provides uniform poll worker training to the state?s boards of elections to strengthen the quality of Ohio?s election process and voters? trust in the process. An article over at RABid caught my eye a couple of minutes ago about a judicial challenge to John Boccieri’s (D-New Middletown) new law barring protests at military funerals. The Beacon-Journal also wrote a McNews worthy article in their morning edition. The sudden spike in interest regarding the new state law, which creates a 300 foot buffer zone around funerals proceedings, is due to a recent court challenge as to the constitutionality of the law.
