OK, liveblogging sucks. I will add stuff if something is exciting…but will be on the shoutbox too.

6:08pm – talking about Iraq war. Zack wants phased pullout, but Iraq and Middle East is critical to our national security. Using arrogance of power will not work. Need a new way of handling Iraq.

6:20pm – talking abortion as it relatest to stem cell research. Zach has a good view. pro-choice, but takes life very seriously…basically respects pro-life views and thinks their energy should be directed toward preventing unwanted pregnancy.

Hey all! I just put up a new shoutbox tool for people to use at the site. It’s on the right just under the tip hat. You remember the tip hat, right?

I wanted to have a way that site visitors could fire off live questions or quick reminders during Meet The Bloggers…as well as just a cool way to say hey once in a while. Check it out and let me know what you think. I haven’t spent any time on formatting it really, just threw it up.

The Constitution or The Bible?

wow…coldn’t pass this one up. Came across this via this post:

On Wednesday, March 1st, 2006, in Annapolis at a hearing on the proposed Constitutional Amendment to prohibit gay marriage, Jamie Raskin, professor of law at AU, was requested to testify.

At the end of his testimony, Republican Senator Nancy Jacobs said: “Mr. Raskin, my Bible says marriage is only between a man and a woman. What do you have to say about that?”

Raskin replied: “Senator, when you took your oath of office, you placed your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. […]

Unless the sports bar I’m in has wifi, there won’t be much posting from me today. This is a personally recognized national holiday – the kickoff to the NCAA tournament. For all those true “blue” buckeyes out there, I have your team winning it all. Just not gonna be Kentucky’s year – although if they decide to blow my bracket up that will be fine!
